Commercial HVAC & Building Services in Miami

Miami runs on central plant. Brickell and Downtown are chilled water towers where a failure is not a comfort complaint but an evacuation, and the restaurant density through Wynwood, the Design District and Little Havana means refrigeration and makeup air work at a pace no other city in the state asks for.

On the ground

What we hold in Miami

Amalfi Group serves commercial towers, restaurants and retail property throughout Miami and Miami-Dade County. Dispatch runs at every hour, with a four-hour emergency target in the county, and every engagement begins with a survey at no cost.

Brickell and Downtown towers

Central chiller plants, cooling towers and VAV distribution, on buildings where after-hours HVAC is billed back to tenants and every hour of plant downtime is a dispute waiting to happen.

Wynwood and the Design District

Adaptive reuse of warehouse stock — rooftop units dropped onto structures never designed for them, and tenant buildouts that need the mechanical sorted before anything else can proceed.

Restaurant corridors

From Calle Ocho through Coconut Grove and up to the Design District, this is the heaviest concentration of commercial kitchens we serve. Walk-ins, prep refrigeration, ice machines, makeup air and grease waste.

Coral Gables and Coconut Grove

Older low-rise office and professional stock, much of it on split systems at the end of life, in a jurisdiction that takes its permitting seriously.

Permitting in Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade runs its own product approval regime and the High Velocity Hurricane Zone rules add requirements that catch out contractors from further north. We permit here regularly and we price it in from the start rather than discovering it at inspection.

Questions

What Miami owners ask first

How quickly do you respond to an emergency in Miami?

Four hours, day or night. Dispatch runs at every hour, and clients under an agreement are attended first and pay no overtime premium. Targets for every county are set out on the coverage page.

Do you charge for the survey in Miami?

No. Every engagement begins with a survey at no cost, and the written report is yours whether or not you engage us. For a commercial building that means an equipment inventory — make, model, serial, age, tonnage, refrigerant and condition of every unit, with a repair-or-replace list in priority order. For a residence it is a condition walk of the exterior, the systems and the waterfront structures.

What areas of Miami do you cover?

Brickell, Downtown, Wynwood, Design District, Edgewater, Little Havana, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Doral, Midtown, Allapattah, Little River. We cover Miami-Dade County entirely, so if a neighbourhood is not named here, tell us the address.

Do you work on both commercial property and private homes in Miami?

Yes, through separate divisions with separate crews. Amalfi Mechanical covers commercial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical. Amalfi Estates covers year-round care of waterfront residences. Amalfi Construction covers tenant buildout and renovation. A hotel's chief engineer and a family at home need entirely different things, so the two are never interchangeable.
